INTRODUCTION OF THE INTERNATIONAL EAST AFRICAN e-PASSPORT

The Uganda Consulate in Mombasa, Kenya, wishes to announce that the Republic of Uganda is set to introduce an International East African e-Passport to replace and eventually phase out the current East African and International Machine-Readable Passports and would like to inform as follows:

Rev. Canon Richard Otieno of St. John's  Buxton Church, ACK Diocese of Mombasa paid a courtesy call on the Consul General at the Consulate on 13th June 2018. They discussed a number of issues among which were church projects and seeking to partner with the Consulate to join the church and help in their projects.


UGANDA CONSULATE IN MOMBASA COMMEMORATES AFRICA DAY

To commemorate Africa Day which is celebrated every 25th  May of the year, Ambassador Katureebe Tayebwa, Consul General of the Consulate of the Republic of Uganda in Mombasa led a tree planting exercise that saw the planting of trees at Mtopanga Primary school in Mombasa on 24th May 2018.  The event was attended by over 400 people including students, administration of Mtopanga Primary School, National, County government, forest officials, politicians, members of staff from the Consulate and Ugandan diaspora.

Consul General of Uganda Consulate in Mombasa, Amb. Katureebe Tayebwa met with the Mr. Gideon Mugo the Head of Tea Sourcing - Africa at James Finlay Mombasa Ltd on 30th  April 2018. James Finlay is a Tea Trading Company and part of the Finlay Group, known for its expertise in tea. It is one of the largest independent tea producers, global tea sourcing businesses and one of the only companies able to produce, pack and supply tea into most international regions
